International Business Development Manager with French | Sustainable Materials

About the Position

Our client is an innovative international materials technology company transforming the packaging industry with a breakthrough bio-based material designed to replace conventional plastics.

We are looking for an International Business Development Manager to drive business growth across UK, Nordics and France region. Reporting directly to the CEO, you will build new markets, develop strategic partnerships and support the company’s international expansion.

Your Main Responsibilities

• Develop new business opportunities across UK, Nordics & France.
• Build long-term relationships with packaging converters, paper manufacturers and global brands.
• Manage customer projects from first contact through technical validation to commercial agreement.
• Work closely with R&D and technical teams based in Valencia.
• Identify new market opportunities and create strategic partnerships.
• Travel regularly across UK, Nordics & France and visit Valencia headquarters every two weeks.

Key Requirements

• Experience in Business Development, Technical Sales or Key Account Management within an industrial B2B environment.
• Background in packaging, paper, specialty chemicals, polymers, industrial materials or manufacturing.
• Fluent French and English.
• Consultative, solution-based sales approach with experience managing long sales cycles.
• Entrepreneurial mindset and passion for developing new markets.
• Willingness to travel internationally on a regular basis.

Nice to have:

• Spanish language skills.
• Experience in a scale-up or high-growth international environment.
• Technical understanding of sustainable materials or industrial products.
• Network within the packaging or paper industry across the UK, Nordics & France regions.
• Experience working with technical or R&D teams.
